For Developers

Public Infrastructure, Not a Walled Garden

Accountable Humanity is not a platform you use — it is infrastructure you build on. The network provides a foundation of verified human identities that any application, platform, or service can leverage to add trust to their user interactions.

We invite developers to use this infrastructure to build a better, more accountable, more human internet.

What the API Provides

Proof of humanity. Verify that a given identity belongs to a real, unique human who was verified in person. No bots, no duplicates, no synthetic personas.

Geographic anchoring. Check the approximate geographic region associated with an identity. Useful for platforms that need to verify local reviewers, local voters, or regional participants.

AI disclosure verification. Verify signed content and its associated AI disclosure metadata. Determine whether a piece of content was attested as human-authored, AI-assisted, or AI-generated.

Signature verification. Verify cryptographic signatures against the network's transparency log. Confirm that content was signed by a specific verified identity and has not been tampered with.

Open Source Licensing

Core Infrastructure — AGPL-3.0

The network's servers, transparency log integration, and identity verification systems are AGPL-3.0. Any modifications to the core must be made publicly available, keeping the foundation open and accountable.

Client Libraries & SDKs — MIT

SDKs and client libraries are MIT-licensed. Integrate freely into your applications — commercial or otherwise — without license obligations extending to your own code.

Build With Us

The network is currently in development. We are building the API, the SDKs, and the documentation in the open. If you are interested in building on proof-of-humanity infrastructure, join the waitlist to get early access to the developer preview.

Ideas for what you can build:

  • A social platform where verified-human posts are distinguishable from bot content
  • A review system that filters for real, geographically relevant reviewers
  • A content management system that embeds human authorship metadata
  • A voting or polling tool resistant to ballot stuffing and bot manipulation
  • A comment system that verifies local voices in local conversations
